WHAT’S UP

Brrrr!  It’s 17 but feels like -29 here this morning.  We’ve been stuck in this stupid polar vortex for a week now and I’m over it.

After finishing The Office for a second time, we started watching Parks & Rec (again) on Amazon’s streaming service.  Have you watched either of these?  I love them both, even moreso the second time around.

RECENT PURCHASES

I finally picked up a case for my ipad and even though it’s nothing fancy, I’m pretty happy with it.  It’s very similar to the Apple case but I prefer this one because made of a thicker plastic and offers more protection.  What I love most about it is the little spot for my pencil – makes it less likely that I’ll lose it when traveling or bringing it with me to client meetings.

New Winter must-have alert!  When I was at Costco last week they had flannel sheets for $25 and I picked up a set.  I used to love flannel sheets in the Winter when I was a kid and after using them for a week and now I realize what I’ve been missing out on!  I thought they might be too hot but they’re actually perfect for this weather we’ve been having and they are SO cozy!

I needed a new moisturizer for the daytime so a few weeks ago I picked up this set from Nurture Yourself Gentle Hydration set from OleHenriksen.   So far I’ve only tried the Nurture Me Moisturizing Crème but really like it so far – it’s so thick and moisturizing and is an amazing base for foundation!

CURRENTLY COVETING

Indigo always has the cutest mugs and I’m seriously contemplating using a gift card I have on this insulated version.  I love my insulated water bottle and I’m so bad with getting hot drinks and forgetting about them, so this seems perfect for me!

Loving this simple but cute tie-front top from Old Navy – the pink stripes feel so Springy!

Jessica Braun was raving about these Essence Melted Chrome Eyeshadows recently and for $5.99, I think I need to pick up one or two to test out!

Urban Outfitters has some seriously beautiful duvet covers online – Iike this one!

PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

These cat caps are hilarious but I think what would be even funnier is watching someone attempt to put this on their cat!

READING CORNER

How to Walk Away – Katherine Center

This was a lessy-cheesy, slightly more realistic version of your standard romance novel.  I need to stop reading books like these because they just don’t interest me anymore but if this is your genre, I’d recommend it.

What I’m reading next:

The Wife – Alafair Burke

Flannel sheets are THE BEST! It took me forever to convince Jordan to let me put them in the bed but now he’s a convert too!
