WHAT’S UP

I was in a bit of a blogging rut for a week or two mainly because I hate January and I’m getting really frustrated with social media (looking at you Instagram). Honestly sometimes I just get tired of editing photos and writing captions and hashtags and I just don’t want to bother with it – so I don’t.  It’s something I need to improve on in 2019.

Last weekend I made homemade ravioli for the first time, using this recipe.  I used our pasta maker but it was still a ton of work so I don’t think I’ll be making this a regular thing anytime soon.

RECENT PURCHASES

Mr. PRL and I really got into board games last year so when I was at Chapters last week I picked up a new one for us; it’s called Big Money and it’s kind of a mix between yatzee and Monopoly – it’s really fun!

In extremely boring news, we needed a new vacuum and after months of searching and reasearch, we finally ended up with one: the Electrolux UltraFlex Canister  We have shag carpet and wanted a bagless, canister-style which is not easy to find but so far, so good!

CURRENTLY COVETING

I love a good henley top so I think I might pick this one up from Rickis.

My hair has been long for quite some time but I came across this photo on Pinterest last year and I’ve been very very tempted to give it a bit of a chop.  We’ll see what actually happens when I go for a cut/colour in a month or so – I usually chicken out when it’s go-time.

A good collection of 50 stir-fry recipes – none of which seem that difficult either!

I need a new iPad case and I’ve been eyeing up Clique Boutique on Etsy.  I can’t decide between a polka dot one or this floral version.

How weird yet intriguing is this roll-on highlighter?

READING CORNER

I Know You Know – Gilly McMillan

This was a thriller/true crime story and it started off really slow.  It got a bit better near the middle and end but I hated the way the author ended this!
