This & That Fridays – March 8

Okay, so today I can finally spill the beans on something I’ve been working on for months….

On Monday, I will be officially launching my own graphic design business by the name of Pretty Creative Studio!  I will be catering to female entrepreneurs and creatives and helping them develop awesome and unique brands for their businesses.  This is something I’ve been passionate about for a while and while it’s been a long journey to get here, I couldn’t be more excited to get started!  At some point in the near future I’ll be holding a design giveaway for my blog followers as a way to say thank you so please keep an eye on here and on Instagram for that, and for details on my site launch!

I finally got myself a new pair of Keds although I won’t be wearing them here anytime soon.  These are my favourite sneakers, they’re so comfortable and they go with everything.  If only I wouldn’t wear them out within a few months. 🙁

This Neutrogena Micellar Water was on sale and I couldn’t resist picking up a bottle.  It has a lot of claims, but once I finish up my Bioderma, we’ll see how this performs.

While I was searching for new sneakers last weekend, I came across these Roxy ones that don’t look like much as is, but on they are so cute!  They are super comfy, stretchy and I LOVE that you don’t have to tie the laces, you can just slip them right on.  Once they go on sale, these are mine!

I really really really want the new Urban Decay Back Talk palette because I’m a sucker for rosy palettes.  It just looks so pretty and I think the design is really smart – it’d be great for travel!

Just a plain t-shirt but with I really like the deep V back.

This new CoverFx foundation sounds really interesting!  Plus check out that shade range (it’s an actual range!)

I cannot wait to go and see A Wrinkle in Time – it looks so good!

Why don’t they make these hoodies in women’s sizes?  I might see if I can squeeze into an XL.

Cutest desk duster ever

The Hieresses – Sara Shepard

This book is about a wealthy family whose members keep dying in suspicious ways.  It’s a little bit murder mystery, a little bit romance and kind of cheesy.  I didn’t mind it, the author was able to keep me on my toes but the cheese factor was high on this one.  It’s a good mindless beach read.

What I’m reading next:

Dark Places – Gillian Flynn

Almost Missed You – Jessica Strawser

Print-on-Canvas with Photowall

Monthly Makeup Focus – February Review

Monthly Makeup Review – March

Viseart Theory IV Palette – Amethyst

Currently Coveting: Tech Accessories

Review: Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Palette

Empties Lately

Have a wonderful weekend!

Congrats on your new business venture! I think this is the perfect avenue for you to go down, I’m so excited for you. Graphic design is an area I wish I was good at. I think I might need your help in the future! Can’t wait to see all of the pretty things you create 🙂

That palette totally caught my eye when it was first announced, but realistically I know I’m not going to get much use out of an eye & cheek palette because I never really ended up using the blushes. It is beautiful, though!

LMAO that llama duster is too adorable! I wouldn’t want to use it.

Dark Places is very…dark, haha. I think I liked it more than Gone Girl, to be honest! Her other book, Sharp Objects, is also very good.

      Thank you so much!

Now that I’ve seen swatches of the Backtalk palette I’m not so sure it’s for me – there’s a lot of vibrant pinks in there but I’m not sure I’d use those that much. I need to see it in person first though.

I started reading Dark Places and then realized I had already read it a few months ago – I’m so bad at doing this. Adding Sharp Objects to my reading list!

Congrats on your new business venture!
I need new sneakers too. Well, I will need new sneakers if winter ever ends, haha!

      Thanks so much Jodi!

Yes I’m impatiently waiting for Winter to end, it warms up, the snow melts and then we seem to get another big dump of snow right after – frustrating!

      Thanks Robyn!

I realized as I started reading Dark Places that I actually read it a couple months ago haha! I do this a lot, it’s becoming a bit of a problem. ?
