I took another break from blogging – November was a busy month for me and something had to be put on the backburner. Unfortunately that ended up being my blog ….so much for that consistent schedule goal for 2017.
I’m going to start some of my Christmas baking this weekend – I hope to get a post up next week so keep an eye out if you’d like to see what I’ll be whipping up this year!
My Tarte eyelash curler broke this week – which was annoying considering it was only a year and a half old! So I’m on the hunt for a new one, if you have any suggestions please leave them below for me!
I’ve succumbed to the dark side and finally started using Instagram stories and I’m kind of hooked! I’m still getting the hang of them but they’re definitely fun!
Speaking of addicting, we recently placed an order through Amazon and included in our order were these iPhone charging cables. If you’ve never had a charging cord longer than the standard 3 ft one that Apple gives you than you need to try one – it’s kind of life-changing!
I was in the US for Black Friday and I was overall unimpressed with the deals but I did pick up a couple things, with this Christmas sweater being my favourite. It was 50% off so I think it came to $15 USD which is way more than it’s actually worth but I’m excited to wear it Christmas morning while opening presents! I really wanted this one too but they didn’t have my size left.
I also picked up a few things from Sephora on Black Friday: this Nest fragrance set (both scents are amazing!), the Ole Henrickson one, the Alterna Moisturizing Haircare kit (no longer available online) and a huge tub of my favourite First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (also sold out online).
I’m not normally a powder foundation fan, but I’m super intrigued by this IT Cosmetics foundation. It actually has hylauronic acid in it which I feel is kind of unique; my only concern is their shade range, I swatched their lightest shade (Fair) and….it didn’t seem that fair to be honest. Have you tried it?
I tried on this coat from Gap a while back and I looked like a giant pink marshmallow in it but I still love it – it’s so soft and cozy. I’ll probably never buy it but I still love it.
I recently discovered the best food magazine – Cook’s Country. I can borrow issues online by using my library card (completely free!) and I’ve earmarked about 50 recipes I want to try.
YOUTUBE VIDEO OF THE MOMENT
I only started watching Tiffany this year and while she sometimes can be a bit much and has some super expensive taste, in general I enjoy her design style. I thought this video was really nicely done and it really got me into the holiday spirit! She totally makes me want to get a flocked tree too.
