Clothing Haul

Here’s a well-known secret about me – I love clothes shopping!  While I love shopping for makeup, I’m much more likely to pick up an item of clothing on any given weekend. My closet is usually bursting from the seams – although I have gotten better at buying things just because.

I did a bit of shopping for some new items for Summer and thought I’d share them with you!   A few pictures are missing below (seriously photographing clothing on the floor is next to impossible!) but I’ve included website images for them.

Cut-Off Denim Boyfriend Shorts

Shorts are not something I usually splurge on, unless I find a pair that I love enough to justify the price (hasn’t happened yet) so I usually just pick them up at Old Navy.  I picked up a pair of distressed light wash and these darker blue pair.  They’re not bad but I sized down as I expected them to stretch out (similar to other ON shorts I’ve purchased before).  Turns out these don’t really stretch out so they’re a little snug on me.  If I shed a few pounds they’d likely fit perfectly.

Pineapple Tank

Pineapples seem to be everywhere this Spring/Summer and I’m not mad about it.  This printed tank is cute and great to pair with the shorts above.

Aloha Tee

I’m totally into graphic tees and sweatshirts this year and I love navy and white together.  This feels a little thin so I’m not sure how many washes it will make it through but it was less than $10 so I’m not expecting much from it.

Flamingo Vintage Sweatshirt

As soon as I spotted this in store I had to have it – even before I tried it on.  Luckily it fit perfectly and bonus – it’s soooo soft and comfy.  I’ve been wearing this non-stop since I got it – it pairs well with leggings or shorts or anything really!

Crew Neck Tee Dress

This dress doesn’t look like much but believe me when I say it’s super cute!  It’s definitely more fitted but it’d work great so many ways – with a denim jacket and sneakers, or with some cute jewelry and a pair of strappy sandals.

Soft & Sexy V-Neck Favourite T-Shirt

Favourite.tee.ever.  I love these so much – they are so soft!  They have that lived in feel and look and they wash like a dream!  I will likely pick up more of these throughout the Summer.

Ruffle Surplice Dress

Yes I bought three of these.  In fairness, Express has closed (or is closing) all of its Canadian stores which makes me so sad – I shopped there all the time.  I originally bought just the black one but once they started clearing things out I went back and bought two more.  I don’t find this dress the highest of quality but I do find it quite figure flattering and I really like the flirty ruffle on the bottom hem.

Sexy Stretch Legging

These are my favourite leggings I’ve ever tried so again, I stocked up on them.  I picked up 2 pairs of the cropped fit and 4 of the regular fit so now I own 7 pairs of these total.  Can you tell I like leggings?

Scoop Neck Sleep Tank & Printed Sleep Short

Pyjama’s that you want to wear 24/7 are the best and that’s exactly what these are!  I came across them at Joe Fresh last weekend, tried them on and was super impressed!  The tank has a shelf bra in it which is awesome and is fitted without being clingy.  The shorts are a super soft cotton and what I love about them most is that they’ve stretched out slightly but not too much – I hate it when pyjamas do that!

Printed Sleep Short (available in-store)

Wearing pj’s as everyday clothing seems to have become a bit of a trend lately and I was never behind it until now.  I think I could totally get away with wearing these as regular shorts – although I haven’t been brave enough to do that yet.  These are a rayon blend and fit nicely and are pretty comfortable.  Bonus I got them on sale for $12.97!

Where are your favourite places to shop for clothing?

Oh my gosh! That pineapple tank is adorable. I’m not mad about the sudden popularity in pineapple prints this year, either 😉
Nice picks from Express! No one will even notice they’re the same dress except for you!
