Last year while I was in the US, I picked up the Belief Skincare Travel Set on a whim at Sephora. I knew nothing about the brand or the products but I’m a travel-sized product junkie and I wanted to try something new – and this set seemed like a good opportunity to give a new brand a try.
I started using this set at the beginning of January and I’ve used up everything aside from the face wash and eye cream – those appear to still be going strong. Obviously I’ve used all the products up enough that I feel comfortable reviewing them – so here we are.

WHAT’S INSIDE
This kit includes 5 of Belif’s best sellers packed in a travel-friendly, zippered pouch:
Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist – 30 mL / 1.01 fl oz.
A vitamin-C packed creamy foam cleanser with natural herbs that gently yet effectively removes makeup and impurities while hydrating the skin.
Sometimes cleansers can leave my skin feeling stripped and dry so I was happy experience completely opposite results with this. My skin felt clean, soft and hydrated after using it. It removed the majority of my makeup, aside from my stubborn eye makeup but that’s nothing new – I always have to use a micellar water or makeup remover after any cleanser. It has a light herbal scent that I personally found pleasant and not at all overwhelming.
Bergamont Herbal Extract Toner – 20 mL / 0.67 fl oz.
A toner formulated with bergamot and sage to balance normal to combination skin, leaving it hydrated, soothed, and balanced after cleansing.
I didn’t really see the point in using a toner until last year when I was sent Vichy’s Normaderm line – I noticed how refreshed and clean it made my skin feel. I now know that they have a purpose and I’ve added this step to my everyday skincare routine. I enjoyed this one. It didn’t sting or burn my skin – it just felt cooling and soothing. My only complaint is the packaging – it was hard to get the toner out of the little bottle. It doesn’t like to pour out and the plastic is so thick that you can’t really squeeze it either. As a result I ended up shaking it out but that resulted in some of the toner flying everywhere.
Hungarian Water Essence – 10 mL / 0.33 fl oz.
An instant, lightweight hydration serum that is powerfully effective for deep, lasting hydration.
Prior to this set, I’ve used serums here and there but never really found one that I enjoyed. When I first used this, I didn’t expect much from it – it has a very thin, almost watery consistency and, after applying it, my skin felt a little tacky/sticky. I applied the Aqua Bomb moisturizer on top and didn’t think much of it and went to bed. The next morning I woke up and couldn’t believe how soft, plump and hydrated my skin felt – I could almost skip moisturizer that morning if I had wanted! I’ve used this with and without the Aqua Bomb and I do notice a difference when I don’t use it. I now understand the importance of serums.
Moisturizing and Firming Eye Cream – 5 mL / 0.17 fl oz.
A hydrating and nourishing eye treatment that provides long-lasting moisture and firmness to the delicate eye area.
I don’t have a successful history with eye creams. Despite trying many along the years, I’ve never really found one that seemed to be effective. I particularly hate ones that are thick and take forever to sink in. This has a thin, almost gel-like formula that absorbs into my skin quickly. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and leaves my under eye area looking plump and supple. I honestly didn’t really see a difference in regards to firming but perhaps with longer-term use I will – I still have about half of the jar left (a little goes a long way!). My complaint is that there is a warning that states that this should be kept away from the eye area…but it’s an eye cream? Not the first time I’ve seen that type of warning but I still don’t understand it.
The True Cream – Aqua Bomb – 10 mL / 0.33 fl oz.
A gel-cream that ‘floods’ the skin with a rush of refreshing hydration and minimizes the appearance of pores for soft, smooth, supple skin. Perfect for normal to combination skin types, including oily and dry skin looking for a lightweight moisturizer.
My skin just loves gel moisturizers therefore this is my favourite product out of the bunch! Despite it’s lightweight texture this packs a serious punch! As mentioned it works really well with the Hungarian Water Essence mentioned above, but it also works really well on my own. I mostly used this at night and I always woke up the next morning with the most hydrated, moisturized skin of my life. This reminds me a lot of Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Relief but I think I like this one a bit better – it seemed slightly more moisturizing and the hydration seemed to stick around longer.
SCENT
I found that all of the products had a similar scent – very herbal but nothing overwhelming or overpowering. Once applied, the scent dissipates and is no longer noticeable.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY
This set retails for $25 CAD and is available online in Canada, in select Sephora stores in the US, and at The Face Shop / Fruits & Passion locations across Canada.
VERDICT
Overall I was really happy with this set; it really would be perfect for travel, you have yourself covered for all of your skincare needs and all of the products would last you at least a month or regular use.
I also loved this as an introduction to the brand. I alwaysbeing able to try minis of each product and determine what works for me, without committing to the full-size. I wish more brands would do this.
Have you tried any of Belif’s products? Let me know below!
I love sets like this! Such a great way to try out a brand. I haven’t tried many things from Belif except a moisturizer. They seem like nice products!
Same! I was really impressed with it – I’d recommend it! 🙂
This brand sounds great, especially the Aqua Bomb cream!
Totally recommend it! 🙂
